Subject: Java agent authenticate before HttpURLConnection head request
Feedback Type: Question
Product Area: Notes Client
Technical Area: Application Development
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.3
Reproducible: Always

Hi,

Basically, I've created a Lotus Notes agent that checks a webpage is available through response code returned from a HttpURLConnection head request. The problem is that the webpage that I'm trying to check requires the user to be logged in using the intranet id and therefore it returns a 401 response code. How do I authenticate first and fire the head request so that I could get a proper response code?
